Newly renovated gem of a place, that sleeps two adults on either twin size separate beds, or they can be made up into one double size bed. This is a quiet apartment in a great area, just 1 block off the bustling pedestrian street of rue Mouffetard, which is a famous Farmer’s Marketplace, open every day of the week.

Looking out on a quiet courtyard that is graced with trees and greenery, this charming studio has a corner ‘ niche’ for the bedroom area, a good size sitting room and features a separate kitchen that has most everything you will need to cook or simply bring prepared food home to re-heat. The bathroom is functional, with a shower, ( a bit small, but easy to use), good size sink and the WC inside. It features a towel warmer, which you can also use to heat the bathroom itself, or even hang clothes on it to dry if you wish.

There is a large flat screen TV, featuring a cable system and several English language channels (BBC, CNN, etc) and a telephone that allows free calls to some countries (USA included, see house book for more info).

The apartment was completely redone in January of 2009 and is in great shape. It is 25 sq meters (approx. 270 sq feet) and is on the third floor with no elevator (stairs which are a little steep but have a good handrail). There is a closet for clothes hanging and storage of suitcases as well. See below for more amenities.

This is the 5th arrondissement (district), not far from the Luxembourg gardens; stroll there on a sunny day in just over 15 minutes. The main feature and great attraction of course is your surrounding neighborhood, with so many small cafes and charming restaurants, plus the fresh produce of the Farmers’ Market. Stroll around and re-fortify yourself with an afternoon coffee, take pictures of the amazing colors at the market stalls, and eye the ubiquitous book-worms slowly sifting their way through pages of the first time editions books at the many book stores. This is a serene corner of Paris, more relaxing than the large busy boulevards. A very old corner as well, as the Place de la Contrescarpe dates back to around the 14th century. Hemmingway made his home nearby and you can call this your own corner of “ La Mouff” …!
