Just steps from the famed rue Montorgueil market street, this is a compact, small 18m² studio (about 190 sq ft - 17 feet long by 11 feet wide).  The apartment is best suited for two adults, but can additionally accommodate one child on futon type mattress.

This is the wonderful Farmers’ market street just bursting with flowers stalls and so many food shops, from several bakeries, butchers, cheese shops, more chocolate shops that you can test in a day (!) and of course Cafes and restaurants all around… there is even a specialty restaurant called “ L’Escargot” which features almost all the menu in snail dishes ! It’s actually quite a nice place with high quality food and service, ( look for, on top of the restaurant, none other than a giant gold colored snail !). Just a few blocks from the Les Halles area, this was the central huge Market in olden times, where all the Farmers’ brought there wares daily to sell and trade. The small cobblestoned and pedestrian Montorgueil street was a branch off of this central Market and both then and now offers up fresh produce and delightful treats, (today’s difference being that the goods and wares are brought in almost daily by truck as they Market was torn down long ago…)

Your apartment is off of this busy street, comfortably away from the noise and 4 floors up (no elevator like most other buildings in this area.)  The property owners have renovated it (scheduled to finish by mid-July, check back for pictures !). There is a double size bed for 2 adults. The bathroom is small, but has a new shower (attached to wall), basin and WC. There is a small corner kitchenette, with the basics; a 2 burner stove top, a microwave, an under-counter frig, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, plus enough dishes and cutlery for 2 people.

Owners have carefully exposed some of the old wooden structural beams, both on ceiling and walls, which give lots of character and charm to the place. Everything is has been re-done and all new furniture in place. Come and enjoy this wonderful central area, with so much to explore and visit. If you are looking for a basic but comfortable accommodation, in a fabulous district, you will enjoy this nicely done flat, just waiting for you to enjoy its charm!
