This studio in the Marais section of Paris is on the first floor (one short flight of stairs) on a quiet street, rue de Picardie.  This historically designated apartment has all new furnishings and a brand new well equipped kitchen. The Studio Picardie has three large windows, which can be opened for ventilation with little street noise. The oak beamed ceiling adds charm and character and is testament to the 1700's construction.

Location:  This location is an ideal starting point for exploring the Marais. In the neighborhood is the Square du Temple park and two Métro stations- Temple and Republique. This trendy area has recently been featured up in Gourmet Magazine and several suggestions which they gave are just a block away e.g. Chez Omar, a very popular restaurant and the Web Bar, eat and be connected to email!   There is an open market- Marche des Enfants Rouges- for produce, wine, etc. less than a block away.

A little further from the apartment you'll find other points of interest-  the Picasso museum is a 10-minute walk from the apartment, as is Place de Vosges; the Canal of St Martin a 5 minute walk,  and Place de la Republique is also close by.  From here you may also walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and many other popular sites.

Apartment Details:  The apartment is located on the first floor (European first floor- one flight of stairs).  Sleeping is on a double bed and a futon double bed- total of four.   For dining the apartment  has a drop-leaf table, which can seat up to six and for your clothes there is a large armoire.  As you enter the apartment you'll find large shelves for storing your suitcases.  The large bathroom has both a bathtub and shower. When renting over the internet you can only hope everything will be as advertised.  In this case it certainly was.  Your service was outstanding, the apartment was very clean,  attractive and comfortable- and so much better than a usually tiny Paris hotel room.  Great neighborhood too.
