For our guests that would like to have a personal concierge service to help plan their trip to Paris, we highly recommend the service of Mr. Rik Gitlin and his colleague Mr. Marc de Rotrou. Rik offers a concierge service for Vacation In Paris’ guests and bills directly to the guest via Pay Pal.

Rik is an American who has lived in Paris for almost 20 years and began his professional life in France as a psychologist in private practice. After doing that for almost two decades he was ready for something a little less 'heavy' but years of being a helper made him realize that this was not only something he like doing, but in all humility, something he does well.

So becoming a concierge was a natural transition and over the last 8 years Rik has built up an impressive portfolio of information and contacts that he now uses when working with guests.

Rik has been featured on Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe, as well as articles in The Informed Traveler column on the Five Star Alliance site. You will be provided with Rik’s original publication 'Insider's Guide to Paris' which is compendium of NON-TOURISTY things to do and see in Paris based on his own experiences of working with over 1500 clients. There are suggestions for restaurants, cafes, bistros, and brasseries as well as many other ‘one-of-a-kind’ experiences. Of course he will be able to get bookings in all of Paris' great restaurants, from small cafes to 5-star gastronomic evenings so these suggestions are only that: a place to start.

The goal of this service is to go back and forth via e-mail and end up with the 'Paris Visit' you are hoping to have. Rik’s job is to make you aware of the possibilities and then to make those possibilities a reality for you!

Of course, during your visit in Paris, Rik or Marc will be available to help with last-minute changes, organizing taxis and restaurants, or whatever spontaneous things you hope to organize.

The flat rate for this service is 200 Euros no matter how much or little the guest wants to organize.
