I must admit that I was extremely apprehensive before arriving. You can imagine, booking something over the internet has it's inherent stress levels! I WAS SO PLEASED!! The apartment is in the back of the building, one flight up, tow big windows looking out into kind of a yard- you would never know that you were in a big city, so quiet. The neighborhood forces you to pretend that you've lived in Paris all your life. One block toward the Eiffel Tower and one block to the left is Rue Cler. The best outdoor food market in the area. The street is closed to traffic and France's choice is there for you.
You have a great place: made one feel like Gene Kelly should be singing in the courtyard. Jean-Michel was attentive when we arrive and has a good command of English- very helpful individual. We had a great time, great apartment- thanks and we'll be back. Sandy Z. recommended the apartment to us; we'll maintain the tradition.

We brought our kids and enjoyed staying in an apartment. It was much more practical and cheaper with breakfast brought back from all the bakeries. This was our first apartment and we really enjoyed it. Nice to have extra room, refrigerator etc. The apt. was comfortable and quiet.

I loved the apartment; it was convenient and charming. The neighborhood was of course quite incredible. Kitchen was small but very usable...One thing I thought was a little meager were the pillows.... very thin and not too comfortable. Perhaps these are normal French pillows... I'm used to something a little more plush. But overall everything was really wonderful and I would be very enthusiastic to stay here again, and I hope to revisit soon. Apartment was great. Nice having bits of things in the kitchen: 2 kinds of vinegar, mustard, 2 kinds of salt, some cereal, and so on. We bought napkins that will last for weeks, a small but real contribution.  
One advantage of your key method that we hadn't thought of--we were caught in the Italian labor strike. Our scheduled arrival of 3:00 pm turned into 1:30 am, with other times predicted along the way. We've rented apartments before where we met the person--it would have been very difficult. Even a lot of the medium and small hotels would have had trouble with 1:30 am. As it was, we found the place, staggered in, showered, drank a glass of wine, and went to sleep in the very comfortable bed.

We can’t begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our vacation. We went to Paris, London, Rome, and spent the last two weeks in Spain. We should have spent two weeks more in Paris rather than Spain. We definitely needed more time in Paris. Without question, Paris was our very favorite. In fact we are already planning on a two week visit next year and hope to stay in the same apartment.

The apartment was located in a prime location for us as we loved all the museums and could easily walk to all our destinations. 

Again, our warmest thanks to you for all that you did to make our visit so great. The information packet was most helpful. Wish everyone had given us such meaningful information. We never did venture on the metro but we found the #21 and #27 buses fabulous for 1 euro (they do make change) and they run on a very regular basis.

Just wanted to take a moment to tell you how impressed we were with this entire process, and especially with the lovely little apartment in Paris. It was everything we were hoping for, and more. The location was just perfect for us, the apartment was VERY quiet, very well-equipped, and very "homey". We appreciated all of the many guide and reference books John had left on the bookshelves.
We loved Paris so much that we are hoping to return again next spring. If we do, we will be contacting you again and will certainly recommend you to anyone else who might be traveling to Paris (though we'd be a little bit jealous of anyone staying in "our" apartment!).

The apartment was great! The only problem was the shops on rue de Levis were so good we didn't dine out as often as we had planned! We had to sample all the pastries, baguettes, meat and cheeses along with the wine. There were 4 of us in the apartment and it was no problem at all- plenty of room. We didn't really know what to expect of the studio before we got there. However, upon our arrival, we found the studio to be very clean and tidy, with all the utensils we needed for our stay. It is prettier and roomier than the pictures on your website. We really appreciate the excellent location of the studio, being so nearby everything from the market to the metro station.

This is the best apartment we've stayed in Paris, and we really enjoyed being in the neighborhood. The tips in the log book are very helpful. We re leaving a shopping cart and a bag so that others can take advantage of being close to the wonderful market street of rue Montorgeuil. We enjoyed dining outside at L'Estival... a homey neighborhood place. The rye bread (pain de seigle) at Paul is wonderful-- plain (native) or with walnuts (au noix). A great stay- Thanks!

Bonjour! Nice apartment, nice stay! Very quiet place- "Star Wars" opened at the Rex while we were here- no noise. Plenty of store for daily needs nearby- including 2 Monoprixs on Bonne Nouvelle- also a poste office and ATM. There is a public parking garage just across the boulevard - we were concerned as we have hired a car for our trip to Normandie. There are JUST too many places places to eat!

What a cozy hideaway to come home to after bustling days of touring about Paris! We too loved the open market on rue Montorgueil. Every evening we would buy some great bread and the next morning we would enjoy a peaceful continental breakfast with cafe lait, bread, some butter & jam and occasionally yogurt and fruit. There isn't anything we wouldn't change in the apartment.

It was a very nice experience for us to stay in the apartment of Mr. Tran Van. We feel very much like being home there. It is clean, comfortable and cozy.

Couldn't close the windows in the living area. Information left by Martine was very helpful, particularly the details of the after-hours medical service (SOS Medicines). English language TV station (e.g. CNN) would have been good. Having the internet was extremely helpful. Proximity to Monoprix supermarket was very handy. Bonjour Vacation in Paris Team!

We are back from our trip and we had a fabulous time! Thanks so much for your support and guidance. The apartment was very comfortable, a great place to return to after a day of walking Paris. We felt very "parisienne" doing our shopping in the local grocery stores, boulangeries etc.... The location was just fabulous! It was quiet but very accessible to great sites locally and being right off the "1" Metro line gave us access to really everything!

There were two things that could have made the apartment experience perfectly smooth:

1. Keys to the doors. Perhaps the instructions could add which direction you turn the keys. We at first had trouble with the first door, but once we figures out you turn the key counter-clockwise that was easy. The apartment door was difficult. In fact we called the owner because after 10 minutes of trying we had no luck. He did talk us through it and we did get in, but it was challenging for the first few trys. After a few days we got the hang of it.

2. Shower instructions. The instructions that are written don't adequately explain how to turn it on. Again, we fumbled and got it to work, but truthfully we were never really sure how we got it to work :)

We would definitely stay there again, so not big issues - but thought that you might want to know about these two items.

Again - thanks for all your great customer service. I have put the keys in the mail today, so you should have them in the next few days.

The apartment was more than adequate and in very nice condition on our arrival. It provided us very comfortable accommodations for the duration of our stay. It's convenience to the St Michel-Notre Dame metro stop was unparalleled and offered us quick and easy access to almost everywhere we wanted to go. Although the Latin Quarter's night life is more than a little raucous, the placement of the apartment made for quiet restful nights. The comforter did have a stain and the glasses required washing before use but these were of little consequence. It did take us a while to determine the orange switches in the dark stairwells were for the lights and not doorbells which would have been handy earlier in our stay. Internet access was simple (the CAT5 marked "internet" helped) and fast in spite of the statement in the Web Doc that service wasn't in place. All in all the apartment improved our stay immensely and we look forward to booking it again!

We were very happy with the apartment on Rue St. Jacques. It was an absolutely astounding bargain at $120 per night. Everything about the apartment was average or above at well below average price. For a cost conscious Paris visitor, this is an unbeatable value. We loved the amount of room, even though it was a studio. We have stayed in Paris hotel rooms at twice the price or more that one could touch 3 or 4 walls from the bed. Not here. Even the shower was not as small as some we have tried to use. Everything is modern, clean and functional.

There is broadband internet service too. Just plug the cable under the phone table into your laptop's Ethernet port and your on the net, no configuring necessary. I loved getting up in the morning, starting the coffee maker and going out for croissants and a baguette so my wife could join me for breakfast when I got back. The boulangerie is less than two short blocks away. This is a great neighborhood for being in the center of Left Bank tourism--right on the edge of the 5th and 6th arrondisements, as described in the webpage. It is also fair to say that this little area between Rue St. Jacques and Blvd. St. Michel is not typical of the 5th or the 6th. It is a small area of dense tourist shops and restaurants. Walk a block or two in either direction and you are out of the that area and into areas more typical of the 4th, 5th and 6th. Be prepared to handle the stairs--44 from the courtyard to the door of the apartment. They are narrow, tapering, old and one of them--number 17 from the bottom, we call it the trickster--is domed, rocking you off balance if you are not ready for it.

The experience of using Vacation in Paris is superb. They make it easy to get the information, execute the transaction, and feel confident and cared for. The day before we left I called for the first time to see if additional information was available. I again felt like the Vacation in Paris people cared about what the were doing, were knowledgeable, and were sincerely interested in our having a great time. We can not say thanks enough.

We had plenty of space, no need to rush out in the morning, we could cook some of our own meals, and we found walking in the neighborhood quite enjoyable.
The nearness of the metro makes getting into Paris, to see the the things that one goes to Paris to see, very, very easy.

We had a tremendous time and were well pleased with the apartment and how it was equipped. We became well acquainted with Metro line 1 and loved the convenience of riding out to our little quiet apartment after a full day in the surprisingly crowded (for August!) city. We can't wait to come back and will definitely hope to rent the same digs.

Dealing with your company was easy and foolproof. The only suggestion for the apartment details would be to point out the lighting on the wall immediately as you come through the outer door into the courtyard. We did not spot that and the first time we got home after dark, we stumbled in total darkness through the courtyard to the building. Again, due to the darkness, we were unaware there was a lightswitch right at the base of the stairs so we climbed both flights in the dark. Perhaps naive of us, but we were awfully glad to find them after a few days, and after purchasing a small flashlight for our after-dark returns. Also, thanks for the info on the ground transportation which worked out well for us. You may want to include some information on Navigo, since there is little online and most sources for metro transportation listed "Carte Orange" which of course is only part of the process. We had some frustration trying to sort this out. Finally, thanks for the info on ATMs; truly invaluable. We met some Americans who did not know about this and were dealing with traveler's checks and the exchange kiosks, they were happy to hear how easy it was to simply withdraw euros at the ATM.

You cannot find a better location! It is on a busy night street, but that didn't seem to affect our sleep. It is so close to the metro (two blocks tops), and you can walk to most any of the big sites. Would come back here in a second. So many wonderful places; The Irish Pub, Greek Gyro's to go, right across the street, Peres et Filles (Father & Daughter at 81 Rue De Seine, has wonderful French food) and the grocery store is right down from the restaurant. Paul's for breakfast, and wonderful shopping all around. Across Boulevard Saint-Michel are more eating spots with fixed menus. Second time to Paris and loved this apartment and working with Vacation In Paris!

We had a wonderful time in Paris and once again loved our stay in Apartment 122, 30 St. Andre des Arts. I will be sending out the apartment keys before the day is out and will let you know with which carrier they were sent along with tracking details.

We were delighted to see that the apartment, at least the second floor, had been painted since our last stay in February, 2009, along with some repairs to one of the walls. I think the same should be done with the first floor, but overall, the apartment still gives a very good appearance and was in good shape when we arrived. Considering how often it is rented and the wear and tear it gets, this is no small accomplishment. Everything advertised in the apartment, at least that we used, worked well. The apartment, and the building, is very safe and secure.

We want to make a special acknowledgement of the property manager, Joseph. We informed him of two very minor repairs. He was willing to send a repairman while we were in residence, but we told him that this was not necessary. We contacted him prior to our departure on Friday, 3/19 and he agreed to allow us to stay past the 9:30 AM departure time to accommodate our late flight. He is very responsive and a gentleman. We highly respect the manner in which fulfills his responsibilities.

Working with VIP is always pleasant and we look forward to renting with you again.

This perfect slice of Paris could not have been any better. Madame would stay again in a heartbeat!  The directions for the washing machine were a bit confusing - perhaps European machines are different from their American counterparts. We had one load spinning and rinsing for more than an hour. On the up side, the clothes were squeaky clean.

The owner, Madame Duboc, called to see how we were doing and I was so happy to be able to talk to her so that I could tell her myself how much we loved her apartment. It was absolutely beautiful and it is in the most incredible neighborhood of Paris-close to transportation and terrific restaurants and cafes, movie theaters, you name it. It was truly amazing. We had great strolls around the Quartier and got to see so many amazing sights and just soak up Paris. We could not have been more pleased.

We spoke with the apartment manager Thomas Spencer. Thomas Spencer was great to deal with. We arranged to meet him at the apartment and pick up the keys in Paris. We called him from the airport and he was waiting in the apartment when we got there. He was helpful in orienting us with the apartment and neighbourhood and I was comfortable that he would be available should I have any problems or require any other help (which thankfully we did not end up requiring).

The apartment was as described and as pictured on your website (which in my book is 80% of the battle), so I was very happy with that. Thomas was very helpful in telling us about the neighbourhood (groceries, shops and things to see) as well as giving us the information we needed to succeed in the appartment. There was also an information book that was put together by the appartment owners which was also helpful. Just for the benefit of future users of the apartment (please don't take these as complaints), the booklet could be expanded a bit in terms of the name of the wireless router and the related password. It just made it a bit confusing in getting it set up. Otherwise had a great time in the apartment, and we would definitely use your service again.

The Seattle times newspaper article that you list on your site was instrumental in getting me (a first time user of your service) comfortable that you are a reputable organization. I also use tripadvisor.com regularly and there were a few disgruntled customers that had posted there (there were happy customers there also), so that always makes me a bit nervous, but from my experience working with your team, I found everyone to be responsive and professional. I don't know how much more anyone can ask.

Over all our experience was very positive. The apartment was nice, and the location was excellent. I appreciate the fact that the pictures we saw online represented accurately what we found at our arrival. No unexpected surprises there.

I called the owner because the TV was not working properly. She called back in less than 5 minutes, and explained very clearly how to reset the equipment. She also offered to stop by and do it herself, but that wasn't necessary. The explanation was clear and easy to follow, and the TV started working immediately.

You are doing a great job. It was great being able to book the apartment here instead of waiting until we got there, not knowing what to expect.  Everybody was very helpful both here and there. Thank you so very much

We were a little concerned when we first arrived, the stairwell was a bit scary but the flat was great and the stairwell became part of the charm of this building. My husband is 6 ft 3” and banged his head, a lot, on the door between the living room and kitchen. Loved opening the windows and watching the activity on the streets. Montmartre is a wonderful area to stay. We traveled everyday to different areas of the city, but always enjoyed Montmartre the best.
