The apartment was more than adequate and in very nice condition on our arrival. It provided us very comfortable accommodations for the duration of our stay. It's convenience to the St Michel-Notre Dame metro stop was unparalleled and offered us quick and easy access to almost everywhere we wanted to go. Although the Latin Quarter's night life is more than a little raucous, the placement of the apartment made for quiet restful nights. The comforter did have a stain and the glasses required washing before use but these were of little consequence. It did take us a while to determine the orange switches in the dark stairwells were for the lights and not doorbells which would have been handy earlier in our stay. Internet access was simple (the CAT5 marked "internet" helped) and fast in spite of the statement in the Web Doc that service wasn't in place. All in all the apartment improved our stay immensely and we look forward to booking it again!

We were very happy with the apartment on Rue St. Jacques. It was an absolutely astounding bargain at $120 per night. Everything about the apartment was average or above at well below average price. For a cost conscious Paris visitor, this is an unbeatable value. We loved the amount of room, even though it was a studio. We have stayed in Paris hotel rooms at twice the price or more that one could touch 3 or 4 walls from the bed. Not here. Even the shower was not as small as some we have tried to use. Everything is modern, clean and functional.

There is broadband internet service too. Just plug the cable under the phone table into your laptop's Ethernet port and your on the net, no configuring necessary. I loved getting up in the morning, starting the coffee maker and going out for croissants and a baguette so my wife could join me for breakfast when I got back. The boulangerie is less than two short blocks away. This is a great neighborhood for being in the center of Left Bank tourism--right on the edge of the 5th and 6th arrondisements, as described in the webpage. It is also fair to say that this little area between Rue St. Jacques and Blvd. St. Michel is not typical of the 5th or the 6th. It is a small area of dense tourist shops and restaurants. Walk a block or two in either direction and you are out of the that area and into areas more typical of the 4th, 5th and 6th. Be prepared to handle the stairs--44 from the courtyard to the door of the apartment. They are narrow, tapering, old and one of them--number 17 from the bottom, we call it the trickster--is domed, rocking you off balance if you are not ready for it.

The experience of using Vacation in Paris is superb. They make it easy to get the information, execute the transaction, and feel confident and cared for. The day before we left I called for the first time to see if additional information was available. I again felt like the Vacation in Paris people cared about what the were doing, were knowledgeable, and were sincerely interested in our having a great time. We can not say thanks enough.

For two older women, who do not like bus tours, and need more than a hotel room to be comfortable, this apartment in Neuilly Sur Seine were ideal. We had plenty of space, no need to rush out in the morning, we could cook some of our own meals, and we found walking in the neighborhood quite enjoyable.
The nearness of the metro makes getting into Paris, to see the the things that one goes to Paris to see, very, very easy.

We had a tremendous time and were well pleased with the apartment and how it was equipped. We became well acquainted with Metro line 1 and loved the convenience of riding out to our little quiet apartment after a full day in the surprisingly crowded (for August!) city. We can't wait to come back and will definitely hope to rent the same digs.

Dealing with your company was easy and foolproof. The only suggestion for the apartment details would be to point out the lighting on the wall immediately as you come through the outer door into the courtyard. We did not spot that and the first time we got home after dark, we stumbled in total darkness through the courtyard to the building. Again, due to the darkness, we were unaware there was a lightswitch right at the base of the stairs so we climbed both flights in the dark. Perhaps naive of us, but we were awfully glad to find them after a few days, and after purchasing a small flashlight for our after-dark returns. Also, thanks for the info on the ground transportation which worked out well for us. You may want to include some information on Navigo, since there is little online and most sources for metro transportation listed "Carte Orange" which of course is only part of the process. We had some frustration trying to sort this out. Finally, thanks for the info on ATMs; truly invaluable. We met some Americans who did not know about this and were dealing with traveler's checks and the exchange kiosks, they were happy to hear how easy it was to simply withdraw euros at the ATM.

ID 122 St Andre des Arts Romantic Loft

You cannot find a better location! It is on a busy night street, but that didn't seem to affect our sleep. It is so close to the metro (two blocks tops), and you can walk to most any of the big sites. Would come back here in a second. So many wonderful places; The Irish Pub, Greek Gyro's to go, right across the street, Peres et Filles (Father & Daughter at 81 Rue De Seine, has wonderful French food) and the grocery store is right down from the restaurant. Paul's for breakfast, and wonderful shopping all around. Across Boulevard Saint-Michel are more eating spots with fixed menus. Second time to Paris and loved this apartment and working with Vacation In Paris!

We had a wonderful time in Paris and once again loved our stay in Apartment 122, 30 St. Andre des Arts. I will be sending out the apartment keys before the day is out and will let you know with which carrier they were sent along with tracking details.

We were delighted to see that the apartment, at least the second floor, had been painted since our last stay in February, 2009, along with some repairs to one of the walls. I think the same should be done with the first floor, but overall, the apartment still gives a very good appearance and was in good shape when we arrived. Considering how often it is rented and the wear and tear it gets, this is no small accomplishment. Everything advertised in the apartment, at least that we used, worked well. The apartment, and the building, is very safe and secure.

We want to make a special acknowledgement of the property manager, Joseph. We informed him of two very minor repairs. He was willing to send a repairman while we were in residence, but we told him that this was not necessary. We contacted him prior to our departure on Friday, 3/19 and he agreed to allow us to stay past the 9:30 AM departure time to accommodate our late flight. He is very responsive and a gentleman. We highly respect the manner in which fulfills his responsibilities.

Working with VIP is always pleasant and we look forward to renting with you again.

This perfect slice of Paris could not have been any better. Madame would stay again in a heartbeat!  The directions for the washing machine were a bit confusing - perhaps European machines are different from their American counterparts. We had one load spinning and rinsing for more than an hour. On the up side, the clothes were squeaky clean.

The owner, Madame Duboc, called to see how we were doing and I was so happy to be able to talk to her so that I could tell her myself how much we loved her apartment. It was absolutely beautiful and it is in the most incredible neighborhood of Paris-close to transportation and terrific restaurants and cafes, movie theaters, you name it. It was truly amazing. We had great strolls around the Quartier and got to see so many amazing sights and just soak up Paris. We could not have been more pleased.

We appreciated all of the detailed information you provided to us about the apartment. It was extremely useful and we respected everything communicated to us. I also filled in the guest book in the apartment and let Mme Duboc know (again) how much we loved the apartment.

We spoke with the apartment manager Thomas Spencer. Thomas Spencer was great to deal with. We arranged to meet him at the apartment and pick up the keys in Paris. We called him from the airport and he was waiting in the apartment when we got there. He was helpful in orienting us with the apartment and neighbourhood and I was comfortable that he would be available should I have any problems or require any other help (which thankfully we did not end up requiring).

The apartment was as described and as pictured on your website (which in my book is 80% of the battle), so I was very happy with that. Thomas was very helpful in telling us about the neighbourhood (groceries, shops and things to see) as well as giving us the information we needed to succeed in the appartment. There was also an information book that was put together by the appartment owners which was also helpful. Just for the benefit of future users of the apartment (please don't take these as complaints), the booklet could be expanded a bit in terms of the name of the wireless router and the related password. It just made it a bit confusing in getting it set up. Otherwise had a great time in the apartment, and we would definitely use your service again.

We got safely back to South Africa late on Saturday night, 12 April, completely exhausted but very happy.

On this topic - did the owner/manager find everything to be in order as was required after we left? If so, what is the next step to be taken to recoup the $150 refundable deposit? Please let me know.

The apartment was wonderful. The view was perfect and we had a fantastic time! Thank you very much for everything! The place was spotless when we arrived and a bottle of wine was waiting for us! The apartment was very well equiped and personal. Unlike many apartments I have stayed in before, it wasn't a hotel-like apartment but a very homely and cozy one. Over all our experience was very positive. The apartment was nice, and the location was excellent. I appreciate the fact that the pictures we saw online represented accurately what we found at our arrival. No unexpected surprises there.

I called the owner because the TV was not working properly. She called back in less than 5 minutes, and explained very clearly how to reset the equipment. She also offered to stop by and do it herself, but that wasn't necessary. The explanation was clear and easy to follow, and the TV started working immediately.

You are doing a great job. It was great being able to book the apartment here instead of waiting until we got there, not knowing what to expect.  Everybody was very helpful both here and there. Thank you so very much

We were a little concerned when we first arrived, the stairwell was a bit scary but the flat was great and the stairwell became part of the charm of this building. My husband is 6 ft 3” and banged his head, a lot, on the door between the living room and kitchen. Loved opening the windows and watching the activity on the streets. Montmartre is a wonderful area to stay. We traveled everyday to different areas of the city, but always enjoyed Montmartre the best. We LOVED it. It was exactly as represented and the location was perfect.  Montmartre is such a lively neighborhood with excellent shopping and boutique restaurants. We adored every second and having an apartment as a home base made life much more serene I do want to say that there was noise out on the street on Friday and Saturday night, but I think that's part and parcel with the location we were in. It wasn't enough to keep us up late, and the fact that we were two or three blocks from the metro Abbesses and were surrounded by yummy restaurants and fun shopping absolutely made up for it. I have rented quite a few apartments in Paris, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. It was perfect. It was clean, nicely appointed and had charm. No complaints. and great location for walking. I loved having windows both in the living room and bedroom and both with pleasant views!

My daughter and I agree that our stay in Apt. 241 was flawless. The apartment was exactly as pictured on the internet with no surprises whatsoever. The bed and the sofa bed were super comfy. The bathroom was immaculate with a great shower. We were extremely pleased with everything; the location, the building, the neighborhood, the proximity to transportation, not to mention the delicious bakery that is on the way to the metro station. An A+ experience. We are looking forward to our next stay. Also, the same comments would apply to apartment 261, which my son rented at the same time. Overall, a great experience for all involved.

One of the fears I had about renting private property was what would we do in the event of a problem, such as a broken hot water heater. I was pleasantly surprised that my fears were unwarranted. I did have the occasion to call the property manager, Morgan, who graciously walked me through the process to connect to the internet. He promptly answered his phone and was very patient. Morgan was kind enough to call back a few days later to make sure that everything was ok, which, of course it was. It was very reassuring to have a phone number for a back up person in case Morgan was not available. I have learned that my worries were baseless.

I wish more companies were more like yours. I spoke several times with Debbie who was always helpful. Each person I spoke with is an asset to your organization. VIP is a marvelous company to do business with. I will highly recommend VIP any time I can. Thank you for a great 10 days

The apartment exceeded our expectations in every way! The apartment and the location could not have been any better. We loved the apartment - modern appliances, comfortable setting, nice decor. The apartment was spacious with lots of storage spaces and the beds and pull out couch were comfy.

The location was ideal - right in the Latin Quarter but on a relatively quiet street. Everything in the apartment worked beautifully from the washer and dryer to wi-fi. We absolutely loved the apartment and would highly recommend it. We met with Morgan who was very helpful and showed us everything we needed to know the day we arrived.

VIP was a pleasure to work with. Some people warned us about renting an apartment oversees but VIP was a pleasure to work with and the apartment exceeded our expectations. I will highly recommend VIP and this apartment. I hope to return soon! My family had a WONDERFUL time. The location was perfect-near the metro, Notre Dame, everything was easy to access. Everything in the apartment was exactly as we expected from the description on your site. There was also a detailed guide book in case we had any problems The manager greeted us and showed how to operate the various appliances- stove, washer/dryer. He was very helpful. This was my 5th time to Paris. On each trip, I have stayed in hotels. The apartment made everything so much easier. I plan to use vacationinparis.com for future trips.

Don't look any further. This apartment is perfectly located, aesthetically pleasing, wonderfully comfortable - newly renovated so everything works. The wi-fi is fast, a patisserie around the corner, a terrific (and cheap) Vietnamese across from the apartment, cafes - but the windows are double glazed so it's very quiet. The sights and shopping of Paris are at your doorstep and the owner goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable...and Hemingway lived and wrote in the building!

This rue du Cardinal Lemoine apartment was spectacular. Just right for two of us. The owner has done an incredible renovation - the kitchen and bathroom are wonderful, the bed is extremely comfortable and the electronics are first-rate. Steps from the place du Contrascarpe, you'd expect noise, but the well-insulated windows keep the apartment very very quiet. A great find. Looking forward to our next visit.

Kevin and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful apartment on Rue du Cardinal Lemoine. As I mentioned upon our arrival, the apartment was exactly as presented on the internet, and exceeded our expectations on quality and features. We really appreciated all of the special amenities - Nespresso machine (yes, I want one!), washer/dryer unit, free wifi, free calls to USA, excellent cable (plus your tip about the local jazz station), high quality shower, comfortable bed, and overall quiet, relaxing ambiance. We also appreciated your time and attention to our arrival orientation, as well as your responsiveness to our various inquiries. We will definitely want to stay at the Hemingway apartment every time we're in Paris.

What a great location this was..metro stops, cafes, shops, short walk to the river and the apartment was perfect for the two of us and our 15 yr. old granddaughter. Nicely furnished and decorated. Had everything we needed and the owner was a great help getting us set up with our laptop and the facilities...plus walking us around the neighborhood to get our bearings. Staying in an apartment is a great way to enjoy the city.. We recommend it highly.

The apartment was perfect for our two week stay in Paris. The check-in process was easy and the owner was very helpful with explaining the workings of the place. The furnishings were clean and recently renovated, plus there was plenty of light with great Paris views. Our daughter visited us for a few days, and the sofa bed easily accommodated the extra person. As a kick, the phone was able to make free calls to the US. We highly recommend it.

We are a family of four and loved our stay at the Rue du Cardinal Lemoine. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The pull out bed in the living room was very comfortable and large enough for our two children (10 and 13). The location was terrific, only a few blocks from a couple of Metro stops. The area is charming and vibrant with lots of cafe's and restaurants around. Tony, the owner, is a terrific guy and was very patient waiting for us to arrive from the airport (the traffic was awful). He was also very thorough in explaining the workings of the apartment and made sure we had the wifi working on all our devices before he departed. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

We loved our little apartment on Cardinal Lemoine. The apartment was well-designed and charming. The photos on the website exactly represent the apartment. It was cozy, but adequate for a family of three (with one teenager on the comfortable pullout sofa in the living room). The air conditioning worked well, and the double-glazed windows kept out any street noise from the local cafes. The bakery on the west side of Place Contrescarpe was amazing, and the specialty food shops on Rue Mouffetard were quite convenient. A nice option if one wants to eat in. Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens were very close. Easy walk to two different Metro lines. All in all, a very positive experience. Great fun to sit at the dining table and watch the world go by on the cobblestone street below. We highly recommend this apartment!
