This is one fantastic apartment in one fantastic location! Totally renovated, it has kept its original French country-style charm, and what’s more, it's located on a fabulous market street, the rue Cler. Close to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides, this pedestrian street is hopping with outdoor market shops, cafés and restaurants all along the street – fresh vegetable and fruit stalls, butchers, delicatessens, bakeries - you name it, it’s here. And on Sunday mornings and afternoons, there may even be musicians playing. Enjoy sitting out in the sun at one of the many cafés lining the street, or on the balcony of this apartment, overlooking the street. This is pure heaven and Paris at its best!
Located on the 4th European floor (5th US) in a building dating from 1921, the apartment opens up into the living room. Comfortably arranged with high quality contemporary furniture, a sofa bed that sleeps 1 guest, as well as two chairs, this living room is the prefect size for up to three guests. Charming, the apartment is painted and decorated in shades of grays and beiges, with the original parquet throughout, giving it a warm cozy feeling.
The kitchen, remodeled with wooden cabinetry and black counter tops, has new floor tiles modeled after an early 1900s Parisian style. Located off to the side, open American kitchen style, separated from the living area by a counter and three stools. All your cooking needs are provided for in this modern layout, from microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso machine, to a washer/dryer combo. Or, if you're in the mood for some desert or just have a sweet tooth, step over to the chocolatier and or the Gelato shop!
Tall French windows open out onto the balcony, which winds all the way around the entire apartment, looking over rue Cler. A little table and two chairs are on the balcony if you feel like breakfast outside as you watch all the activity below.
The bedroom is located past the living room and has two large windows on two corners of the building, bringing in extra light, as well as allowing for easy access to the wrap-around balcony overlooking rue Cler. The bedroom is peaceful, and with its queen bed, decorative fireplace, original mirror, and lovely flowery curtains, it has romantic charm. It also has a desk, chair, and TV in one corner, making it extra convenient for relaxing or working. Best of all, it has a peek a boo view of the Eiffel Tower....what more could you ask for?
The wooden herringbone floors, the gray and pale beige colors, the light from the windows and the lively atmosphere below make this a favorite for anyone wanting to feel they are in the heart of Paris surrounded by all the sights and sounds of real Parisian life. You can see the tip of the Eiffel Tower from the apartment, and a full view of it just a block away, if you can manage to tear yourself away from all the delicious shops and restaurants just outside the apartment door. It's everything you thought Paris would be and more!
