Comments:I loved the location of this apartment and would stay here again! The shower sometimes went from hot to very cold, perhaps from an on demand system? And it would be nice to have a bar of soap and extra toilet paper in the apartment so you don't have to run out and get them when you arrive and you're tired. I loved having books and maps there and it was fun reading and signing the guest register. The wine is a nice touch! And it was great having wifi that worked! Thanks for a wonderful stay; I hope to come back next year and be able to stay longer!

Comments:My husband who is 6 foot found the shower a little small. I (5 ft.) found the directions for the washer/dryer placed a little high. Certainly for us, the biggest advantage of this apartment is its excellent location. That paired with the proximity of our children and their family in the second apartment (#170) made for an exceptional vacation. We loved the two weeks we spent in Paris.

Comments:Just one minor comment,if I may. In the bathroom, the gas fired boiler ignites and flames seem to reach underneath it. It could be dangerous if somebody has some highly flammable material (paper) sitting on the top of the washing machine.

Comments:The apartment's location is the main reason why I rented it. The location near The Louvre was very convenient for us. We walked almost everywhere. Sunday market just outside the building was an added bonus. The apartment faces a quiet courtyard, exactly what I was looking for. The apartment is supposed to accommodate 4 persons, but it is a stretch of imagination. I rented it for my adult daughter and myself. It worked perfectly for the 2 of us, but 4 people would have to take turns eating, and feel extremely squeezed. I read quite a few reviews and was surprised that no one mentioned that you can hear metro trains passing under the building almost all night. The sound and tremble is not significant enough to wake you up, but when you are jet lagged and have troubles sleeping you will hear it. The convenience of location allowed me to compromise on this nuisance, but some people with sensitive ears will not be happy. The tiny apartment can benefit if the owners get rid of junk that fills it up, such as old guidebooks, artificial plants, decorative pillows, baskets, etc. It was easy to deal with Vacation In Paris staff. They responded to emails promptly, informative, I received the key in less than a week after I paid, the deposit was returned in a timely fashion. Overall, we had a great time in Paris and I would use Vacation In Paris again.

Comments:Overall our stay in this apartment suited our needs and we would happily stay here again. There are a couple of improvements which could make our stay more comfortable next time: 1. provide a range of cotton and woollen blankets in addition/instead of the duvets. It was very warm at the time of our stay and hard to manage sleeping temperature with only a duvet. 2. The washer/dryer is inefficient and does not dry clothes properly. This was an issue as it was the end of our 3 weeks of travel and washing clothes was important. Please provide a fold up clothes rack/airer. I ended up hanging our clothes from coat hangers on every available window bracket and hook. There were a number of comments in the guest book in a similar vein. Our stay in this apartment was a pleasure. The location is excellent, even with the building work around Les Halles. It was quiet, secure and the beds were comfortable - and big enough for us tall people. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and definitely use VIP again and recommend to family who often visit Paris/France. Thanks for helping to make our trip so positive and memorable.

Comments:I didn't like that the windows faced into a dark small courtyard. There was a meat shop in the courtyard that opened early in the morning and you could hear the employees opening the shop. There was absolutely no great view out the window and the proximity to the neighbors windows was way too close. The courtyard was dark and dank and offered no fresh air in our windows.

Comments:I would have chosen a different location in Paris, closer to the Seine River. The apartment actually had three levels between the bedroom and bathroom, so if one had to go to the bathroom during the night, you had to use caution.

Comments:This apartment was wonderful. We came with our two granddaughters ages 16 & 17. Our goal was to really live the Paris life and we really did. The location was great. We could walk to most places we wanted to see and the metro was so close when we needed it. The shops on rue Montorgueil had everything we needed. The health food store even had a nice gluten free section for us to choose from. The traveling market the was outside our door was the best ever the food was so fresh we only ate out once. All our meals were fixed at the apartment. We have a savings account set aside to go back for three months but want to stay in the larger apartment next door Id 170. The staff in New Jersey were very helpful in answering my questions before we even booked our apartment. Yes to email reference

Comments:Great value! This isn't meant to be a luxury apartment so I didn't rate it an "excellent" overall, but for the price, it IS excellent. The location is hard to beat--so near the metro/RER station, shopping center, Rue Montorguiel (foodies delight), plus I am recommending VIP to my friends and telling them not to stay in hotels when for the same or lower cost they can have more space/amenities in an apartment.

Comments:The location of the property was very good. Near the Metro, shops, restaurants, markets. Lots of Paris atmosphere. The front door had graffiti all over it and the entry was not attractive. Both need to be painted. The phone is in the kitchen closet and the ring cannot be heard. We took it out and put it on the kitchen floor so we could hear it. The wire wasn't long enough to put it any were else and would be in the way. Would be helpful if there was a phone jack.

Comments:Apartment was just as pictured on website. Felt like we were in the Amelie movie, the apartment was so quaint. My only concern was the directions to the apartment. the apartment was not labeled so we knocked on a few doors until another tenant came out to help us. Sorry. We were trying to be quiet, but all the doors were the same and the apartment was only 1 flight up from bottom of staircase and not 2 flights. ? maybe a special mat outside the door or some marking on the door

Comments:There is no draining board, but space is limited, so that is understandable. The basin plug in the bathroom doesn't work properly. We couldn't find the second duvet for the pull out bed, but came across it in a drawer on our departure date! It would help to have the correct number of duvets out on arrival for the relative number of people staying. VERY minor points, but as you were asking....... Very quiet apartment (apart from the odd conversation in the stairwell). Very warm even in mild weather, but the fans were very adequate. Very homely feel, making for a very pleasant stay. I would return in a flash.

Comments:My biggest complaint about the apartment was the lighting. The apt. does not get very much outside light and the lighting in the apt. was very dim. It was hard to read a map in that low light. Hardly any in the kitchen area. The location was great. The big bed was extremely comfortable except that you could not get out on one side by wall. I would let people of over 65 yrs know that there are severy steps in the apartment between bath and bedroom. There is a need to be careful. Wished we had read the whole owner's book for there was great recommendations for the area that we did not see until almost the end of our stay.

Comments:Guest book provided by owner was outstanding, if a little dated. Had valuable information and directions. Might consider mentioning a 3-story shopping mall located across from Metro. Ground level is under construction, but 3 sub-levels were great and had free wi-fi. Staff at VIP were very helpful to us in contacting owner after we locked all keys and owner contact information inside apartment. It was a long day due to time zones, but with everyone's help all ended well and it turned into a great vacation story.

Comments:The apartment had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and our children especially liked the day bed since it meant they each had their own bed. The apartment is in a perfect location, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and the best pastry shop. There is also a giant mall right around the corner. We were able to walk to almost everything--the Louvre, the Pompidou, the Musee D'Orsay, the Musee Orangerie, Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter. Thank you for giving us a wonderful place to stay in Paris.

Comments:Our overall stay was wonderful. Even though the apt was small it was certainly comfortable. The kitchen had all that we needed for making meals etc. The location was great. It was interesting that renters were advised to be very quiet as to not annoy the neighbours when the noisiest person was the shop keeper in the courtyard, talking on his cell, then banging and clanging at 6:30 in the morning.

Comments:Overall we thought the apartment was great especially the location. The couch was not comfortable to sit on because it converts to a bed and there is a wooden ledge that dug into your legs :( The towels were clean but were mismatched and old. We ran out of toilet paper and could not find any more in the apartment... had to ask the manager when we called about a late check out. The staff that I dealt with at VIP were very helpful. I first learned of Vacation in Paris through searching the website VRBO for an apartment.

Comments:The apartment was in a great location and was quiet. Because it faced on an inner courtyard it didn't get a lot of light, but we were out most of the time so that didn't bother us. It was well suited for our purposes. Everything was as advertised and the VIP staff were very helpful before we went and prompt in returning our key deposit once they received it. We will definitely use VIP in Paris for our next trip to Paris

Comments:The was still food leftover from the previous renters in the fridge. The towels were a little stiff and scratchy. There was no extra toilet paper in the apartment, which I felt was unacceptable and thus had to go buy some from the grocery store. While you recommend the Las Halles metro stop as the closest stop, if people do not read ahead, they will not know that this is also one of the most seedy stops in the evening and should use alternate stops at night. Having laundry in the apartment was great! Thank you.
