Comments:This apartment grew on us and began to feel like home. The location was perfect. I already miss it and I would definitely stay in this apartment again. My daughters didn?t like the sofa but I enjoyed it. My husband liked the blue lounge chair very much. The lighting created a nice atmosphere in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment was a bit short of places to put our suitcases. I was able to move a couple of the owner?s personal items into one of the dresser drawers to make a drawer for my clothes. I hung my blouses, dresses and coats on hangers in the main bedroom but had to put two to three things per hanger. We could have used about six more hangers and an extra dresser drawer. Our daughters hung all their things on this coat rack. There was only a small area to hang clothes in their room. They placed their empty suitcases behind the sofa and placed their boots and shoes on the boxed in heaters. So we got creative and figured all that of that out which I?m sure others would also do. There was no complimentary bottle of wine but we left one for the owner. I couldn?t find a stopper for the bathroom sink for when I cleaned my hard contact lenses so I placed a glass over the drain. I?m an artist so could appreciate the quirkiness of the decor which was kind of a mix of fifties and eighties. I really liked the coffee table that spun. I think this was the fifth time I have rented an apartment through Vacation in Paris. I highly recommend them. Thank you for everything. Our vacation was fabulous and the atmosphere apartment was really nice. Want to stay in it again. T felt like home and I was sad to leave it.

Comments:We were very pleased with the apartment. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was a little confusing figuring out how to retrieve the key from the mailbox, but we figured it out. The owner takes great care with her apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Comments:There was a bit of a bad smell in the toilet / bathroom area. It also took us a while to figure out how to turn the induction stove on. Induction stoves are not common in Australia.

Comments:Excellent premises and full of artistic character. It is a very quiet area with many healthy food options in the vicinity, given that I am vegan it was perfect and did not need to cook or use the kitchen at all as there are many fine food outlets with ready prepared vegetarian and vegan meals. Re the complimentary wine, there was an opened half full bottle of red wine in the stairwell, which I did not think was supplied for the rental tenancy - there were no complimentary goods in the venue. Please thank the owners for an excellent stay. I left the premises in pristine order with minimal usage of towels etc. The apartment is beautiful and brilliant. I would definitely stay again.

Comments:IT WAS A QUIET STREET.
Was there too much noise from INSIDE of the building? -- IN GENERAL NO, BUT THERE WAS A MASSIVE FIGHT BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE INSIDE THE BUILDING VERY EARLY ONE MORNING IN ONE OF THE OTHER APARTMENTS. EVERY OTHER MORNING IT WAS GENERALLY QUIET.

Comments:We did not like the location of the property. At night, there was little foot traffic in the area. It did not feel Ike it was really in the Marais. The furnishings were very quirky, but we knew that from the photos. There was not enough overhead light in the apartment. We could not figure out how to watch cable programs on the TV. The kitchen was excellent and very well equipped - a big plus. The apartment was unexpectedly warm at night, so we had to open the bedroom window to sleep, and then it was a bit loud. No noise issues with the windows shut, though.

Comments:The apt was very whimsical which made it festive to be inside. The kitchen was well stocked which was nice to be able to make coffee, etc. The Marais is a great section and the apt was centrally located to most sites and easy to get to subway.
The apt courtyard was dingy as was the entrance but once inside fine. The lock on the door was very difficult to open and lock so you needed an extra 5 minutes every time you went in an out.(neighbors that helped felt the same way.) Also, if the rental owner or service provided a description of services, restaurants and places of interest in area that would have been a great supplement. There was book but it was very limited. I rented and apt in Rome and the owner provided a very informative packet which was a great touch and made our trip!

Comments:We absolutely loved this apartment and all of its amenities to include the bottle of wine which was waiting for us upon arrival. It was in a perfect location and accessible to all the major attractions and metro stations in the area. We also appreciated having espresso coffee available to make each morning - that was a nice touch. The artwork throughout the apartment was a delight too and each day we would discover a new piece to comment on. Thanks again for providing such a fabulous apartment -- it made our stay very enjoyable! The only issue was that we had to lift our suitcases up a couple flights of stairs which was a bit challenging. I would also suggest that you put the property ID #172 by the door to the apartment as we didn't know the name of the owner which was the only identifying thing on the door and we weren't sure we were trying to unlock the right door. The other thing is to leave instructions for the heating system as we were never able to increase the temperature from the initial setting and some days and nights were a bit cold in the apartment.

Comments:On the whole we enjoyed our time in Paris at this apartment. A couple of things made me rate it a little on the low side: for our personal taste, we found the apartment to be a too cluttered (eg too many appliances and some of them not working right - eg dull knives, TV didn't work, we couldn't figure out the oven & coffee maker). Having less items on the kitchen counter, and all in good working order would have been preferable. The lighting in the kitchen was dim. There was quite a bit of noise coming from the other apartments, but maybe this is normal in Paris (music, hammering, footfalls above). We definitely felt like we were in someone else's living space. Having said all this, the place was very spacious, the beds were wonderful, and there was lots of hot water. We have rented with VIP before, and have referred many friends to you, so our experiences in the past have been very positive. #172 is probably due to have the decor updated, and would be good if it were less cluttered with the owner's belongings. It's most positive point is it's large size.

Comments:We loved it! The apartment was very funky but also very fun! The beds were amazingly comfortable, and there was a surprising amount of space in the apartment for a family of four. The neighborhood is quite safe, but it isn't very visually appealing.
My only suggestions are as follows: (1) Have more towels available for guests who are staying a week. Since the "dryer" doesn't really dry clothes, it's nearly impossible to try to do a load of towels mid-week. (2) Make more storage space available for your guests. There were only 2 drawers available for clothes and there was very little cabinet space free in the kitchen. Drawers and cabinets were quite cluttered; if organized, these could offer more space for guests. We were very impressed with your company and will recommend you to others.

Comments:The Marais area was a perfect location for our first visit to Paris. Easy to get around and easy to fulfill many shopping needs in the area. Great bakery just a couple doors down from apartment. The apartment was wonderful. Marie has done a fabulous in bringing fun and interesting items into the home. Loved the uniqueness of it. Having an apartment was so much better than heading home at he end of a full day to a tiny hotel room. If you stay here definitely visit Le 404 for a fantastic North African dinner - reservations a must. Thank you for the excellence service you provided.

Comments:We had a wonderful time in this funky apartment. It was convenient to everything, but still quiet. I slept wonderfully! The apartment was so well equiped as well. There was nothing we felt we needed that we couldn't find someplace in the apartment. I should have added something to the guest comments book about the Monoprix that was very close and a great place for one stop groceries.

Comments:Noise from neighbors walking around late and very early, not loud but noticeable (typical for an apartment).
The street is now one way in the OTHER direction from all maps provided (or online). The GPS in our taxi had it wrong too. Just to let you know.
Also, we were confused about what floor the apt is on. It's 2nd for Europeans, 3rd for Americans. Took awhile to find the right door.

Comments:Experience with VIP was very good, enjoyed the service.
Don't know much about the building stability but there was some construction work within the stairwell that looked ominous. It did not impact our visit as it all happened when we were out enjoying Paris.

Comments:This apartment was the most charming/interesting environment we could have hoped for. It was a joy to be surrounded by the art pieces and collectible furniture. I was really a highlight to have this apartment to return to at the end of each day. I thinkn your rental agency is extremely professional and comprehensive in preparing us for our use of the rental apartment. Everything was as we expected.
