Comments:The wifi was not working properly, Jonathan had to come over to reset it. He may even have rewritten the instructions. The instructions for the TVs and music system were way too complex. We couldn't figure them out and were unable to get them to work. We didn't care that much so we we didn't bother to to tell Jonathan but you should look at this.

Comments:It's a wonderful place w/ eclectic art, lovely cherry furniture & high end appliances. It was very noisy if you opened the windows, but if you want to be in this area, that is to be expected. It was ok w/ windows closed. The shower curtain was dirty & moldy; and open on each end. Oval ceiling hangers are available to make a full enclosure & would prevent accidental squirt leaks, since it is a handheld shower. We were there during terrible heatwave. We knew there was a "limited" a/c, & fans. The a/c was in the front hallway (clearly by necessity due to bldg construction & layout). If you put 2 small fans in hall & pushed air into living areas, then moved it through w/ the 2 fans there, you could save energy & maximize efficiency. The 2 fans there helped, but weren't quite strong enough.Luckily heatwave subsided & we could turn it off--but this is likely to be more frequent & I wanted to make that suggestion. Could use better pillows~ All in all, it was a great apartment & I would recommend it even though I might not stay there--depends on weather. Also would have liked cable tv in living room, though dvd collection & sound system was Great! even though we didn't use them--would have if we'd stayed longer. Both of my experiences with VIP have been great & I have recommended you to many people!

Comments:This was a very beautiful apartment in a great location. Very local Parisian feel with the architecture, decor and building. There is a Super Marches in the same block and easy walking distance from the Montorgueil Pedestrian Market. We had a problem with our bed linens. The new property manager did not get our calls in time to remedy properly, but Vacations In Paris did an exceptional job to assist us and offered us a great professional response and resolvement to our issue. Vacations In Paris is a most excellent resource to locate a vacation apartment when you are traveling. We have used this company 3 times now and every time we are very impressed. The issue we had with our apartment had nothing to do with Vacations in Par

Comments:The place was great, we loved it. The only thing that I would suggest to the owners is changing the bed pillows more frequently, or putting a pillow protector on. And fixing the automatic window shutters, as 2 of them did not work. We really enjoyed our stay in Paris and the apartment played a big role in this. Thanks.

Comments:We really enjoyed it! Very quiet in the building, noise just goes with location. Fans were great. Phone difficult to understand although I read French fluently. Explanation in English might help. We couldn't figure out how to turn off alarm on phone. Great eclectic decor and art. Would have liked to hang some clothes. Well-equipped kitchen. I will recommend your co. to friends which is how I heard about you. Hope to visit again! Merci beaucoup! Thank you for leaving the plan de Paris. I meant to leave the larger subway map from the subway which would help the next guest.

Comments:While it's nice to have the sense that the apartment is lived in, there was too much clutter in the apartment. We would have preferred to have more of the papers, books, stuff put away. With less stuff in the way, the apartment would have felt larger.
The couch in the living room has a tear in the upholstery. One blind in the living room was not working (I gather that the last tenant had broken it), but it meant that there was a lot of light in the room in which my son was sleeping--we were there in June when the nights are shortest, and it didn't get dark until 10:30 or 11:00 and it was light by 5 or 6.
We found the TVs/videos very frustrating. The TV in the living room is really just for DVDs; it does not have cable. The TV in the bedroom does have cable, but it involved three remotes to put on the TV. We had to contact the manager twice just to figure out how to use the TVs (he was very helpful). The system, however, is too complicated. I would have liked for my kids to watch TV in the living room, so that I could read or watch other TV in the bedroom.
Various other machines were complicated, too, although we eventually figured them out (the dryer needed to have condensation taken out, for example).
While the immediate block or two around the apartment is not very nice, the apartment is about 5 minutes away from some great areas. I was very impressed with the VacationinParis staff--great to get the key so far in advance, and to have all the helpful information available.

Comments:Although there was a lot of general noise outside the apartment the shutters and double glazed windows were fantastic at keeping this general outside noise to an absolute minimum. We all had a great time and loved the apartment (especially the bath, what a luxury in Paris!). It makes such a difference to have the extra space when you are travelling with a small group of friends / relatives.

Comments:There was hot water for less than two minutes and there were four adults wanting to bath. Yes we could have called but we were leaving early and coming in late and did not want to bother anyone. We made do for the short time we were there. Other than no hat bath.... We loved it. Thanks It was great!

Comments:I would tell a friend about this apartment but will point out the strong as well as the weak aspects and she can decide for herself. The kitchen utensils (pots and pans) are excellent but it will be better if more dinner plates are provided. One kitchen towel just doesn't do it. Also only 2 sharp knives were provided. Otherwise the stove, oven and other appliances are very good. The reason why we probably won't go back was it was noisy but then it's close to everything. The 3 flights of stairs is the other consideration for us.

Comments:The floorboards are in poor shape--about to break through in a few spots. Would be helpful
if appliance instruction manuals were left in prominent place-it took some searching to
find them. Information about door locks incorrect, should be updated. (Locks actually worked more easily than indicated.)
Soundproofing excellent!

Comments:We loved this apartment & thoroughly enjoyed it. The one thing I'd add is, I think the written information that is provided inside the apartment itself needs a little updating/additions. The information should explain that the European clothes dryer has a plastic box that needs to be periodically emptied of the water that accumulates in it. Also, we had a lot of problem figuring out how to use the tv in the living room (the written information didn't seem to explain it all, partly because the writer was trying to explain all 3 tv's and the differences between them). Anyhow, we never were able to watch the French Open. Perhaps some tape on the back of the 4 or 5 different remotes would also help identify which remote should be used & how (#1, #2, etc.). Also, the phone number provided for Air France is no longer a working number. (And it is surprisingly hard to find the toll-free number for calls within France for Air France on the internet! There are blogs that talk about how hard it is to find Air France's 0800 #!) Anyhow, on the good side, the size of the apartment was great, the electrically-operated shutters kept ALL the street noise out, and we enjoyed it a lot, as I said. It is a beautiful apartment, and the artwork & all was very interesting & added to the enjoyment of our stay. I'm just waiting to hear why a hold was put on our key/damage deposit, as we have received an e-mail confirming that your office did receive the keys we mailed back. I know we left the apartment in good condition.

Comments:We really enjoyed this apartment and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is very close to a metro stop, grocery store and various restaurants, etc. We were so thrilled. I think the fact that it is listed as a 2 bedroom may be slightly misleading only because it's a futon. I sort of figured it out from the pictures. I never found sheets or anything like that either but I was fine. We truly had a wonderful experience an

Comments:It was a pleasure working with the Vacation in Paris staff to book this apartment and arrange for keys etc. We would use the service again in a heartbeat. A couple of comments about the apartment. The floor boards are loose in a number of places and should be repaired. The owner of the property left his personal toiletries behind including presciption medications. This was a bit off putting. The linens did not fit the bed properly. The fitted sheets would not stay on the mattress. There was no drawer space to unload clothes from suitcases. It would be ideal if a chest of drawers could be put in the closet for guest use. That being said, the apartment had a magnificent kitchen and dining area, a lovely bathroom, and reliable internet access. It was in a superb location. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again.

Comments:This is a fantastic, spacious apartment. My husband has back problems, so he really enjoyed the huge tub. The living room was very generous and we were extremely pleased with easy and reliable ethernet connection. The only area of concern was the bed. While the four poster bed was beautiful, the mattress was a bit soft, and the wooden frame was very squeaky! Overall, a lovely apartment which I have already recommended to two friends.

Comments:The aprtment was very nice, clean and in a great location. however, it was difficult carrying 4 pieces of large suitcases 82 steps up to the 3rd floor. Also, you had to kneel or lay down to shower in the tub, since it had no curtain to prevent the water from splashing all over the bathroom. Next time I would choose something with a normal shower. This is more important to us than an espresso machine. I thing that the people I dealt with at vacation in paris were just great especially Richard.
I will certainly use them again
