Comments:We had a truly wonderful stay and appreciate David's meeting us upon arrival. Mostly it was a perfect stay but for the concerns listed below:
The bed of the pull out is in poor condition and the shower requires some maintenance as using it floods the area:(caulking needs to be refreshed and the shower head is coming off the wall---mold etc will certainly be an issue in the future). Television reception was poor also.

Comments:This was a fantastic property. I was a little daunted at first, because the exterior fa?ade of the building looks like a 1970's concrete block, but open the door and through a gate, and you're in a charming cobblestone courtyard. The flat itself was spacious and very well appointed. I was there by myself on business, but this flat is plenty big enough for a couple or a family with a small child to stay for some time. I loved everything about it, and I feel very fortunate to have found it since I was booking relatively last minute. I have a terrible memory, so I can't tell you what his name was, but the gentleman who met me at the flat and helped me get settled was really fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area, and provided lots of information to satisfy my many questions.

Comments:There was a little noise from within the complex one evening, a party of some young people, but it didn't go on all night.
Other than that it was delightfully quiet and peaceful. This was our second stay there, and we loved the location and surroundings.

Comments:We were met at the apartment by David, who was a wealth of information. The apartment was in a wonderful neighborhood and extremely quiet, close to Metro, Rue Cler and great restaurants. Vacations in Paris was very easy to work with and the information supplied was also very useful. We have no reservations about recommending Vacations in Paris to our friends.

Comments:The bed was very comfortable in the bedroom, but the pull out sofa mattress was uncomfortable. We took the mattress off the sofa and put it on the floor, and it was ok then.
Dining chairs need to be replaced.
Free telephone calls was awesome.
Great location within walking distance to Eiffel Tower, restaurants, grocery store and Rue Cler.
Overall, we loved the apartment and would use it again.

Comments:The great bonus was the absolute quiet. The courtyard garden outside was lovely. It was not possible to have the blinds open because there was no privacy - perhaps light curtains would be good for the daytime.
There needs to be optional bedding for the summer when a doona is too hot.

Comments:The only disapointment was that th washer was broken. David said he was going to try to get it fixed. I sent him an e-mail to see if this was going to happen, and did not receive an answer. We went to a laundry mat. We had a wonderful time and this apartment was a great location. Just as we hoped.

Comments:We loved the apartment and location--we rented ID 120 on rue St Dominique in December and will be renting ID 137 this coming November. ID 32 was large and very quiet--the only problem is that when we arrived we were told that the washing machine was out of order--a disappointment since we had been traveling in France for two weeks before our arrival at the apartment, and we had, of course, hoped to do some laundry at the apartment. We were told that there was a laundry mat nearby, but at this point in my life, I don't use public laundry mats, so we just rinsed out our clothes in the sink. Not a huge deal, but a slight inconvenience. We were also told that one of the days our water meter had to be re-done (along with all the apartments in the building)and we were told that there would be no water after 9 am. We basically spent the whole day away from the apartment, only to come back at 4 and find that the workers hadn't come in yet and that our water had never been turned off. The guy came in around 5 and was done in about 15 minutes. Certainly nothing VIP or David could have controlled--after coming to France every year for almost 40 years, this wasn't really a big surprise:) We first rented from VIP about 7 years ago when we took our daughter to France for her first visit to Paris. We had a great time at ID 84, but last year we decided to rent in the 7th and have had a great time trying out different properties in that neighborhood, which we really love. because I lead groups to France every year in May, I have told many people here in Des Moines about the very good experience we have had with VIP. We look forward to our stay in the 7th over Thanksgiving week.

I would recommend this apartment to anyone...you will not be disappointed. Many thanks to VIP for assisting us with relocating to another apartment quickly!! Merci

Comments:We had a wonderful time, and staying at the apartment made it so. It was a bit pricey, but loved having a specious apartment at ground floor openning up to a garden courtyard. The neighborhood was the best. would definitely stay there again, hopefully soon!

Comments:The location was ideal, and the apartment was lovely. My only challenge was a lack of counter space for cooking. I rented the apartment in order to cook while I was in Paris and it was more of a challenge than I had hoped. An island with counter space would solve the problem quite easily. It has been a lovely experience and I will rent from you again, I'm confident.

Comments:this is a nice apt. for 2 adults. it is very open and therefore would not be conducive to more than 2 adults, maybe inc. one child. Kitchen very well equipped but needs a chef knife. the satellite tv was " frozen " on the first 10 channels or so. good company and have used three times and will use again.

Comments:Great apartment, very quiet and good location, but the fold-out bed in the living room was most uncomfortable for two people. One person can sleep directly in the middle, but two people spend their time rolling into the centre and one cannot sleep comfortably. The main bed was better in this respect. After staying in this apartment I stayed in 258 and even though the price of the apartment in 258 was almost half the price, the bed in 258 was way better. Would suggest replacing the sofa bed with a more comfortable foldable one if possible.
Two of the umbrellas were broken upon arrival but the apartment manager immediately came over and brought two brand new ones - really friendly and very much appreciated.
Would be good to install four, not two, rubbish bins in the under kitchen sink cupboard for the different recyling triage bins. Would make life easier.
I know the shower fitting is the typical French style, but for us 'taller' people, it would be nicer to have an adjustable shower head. But otherwise the shower was great, only spilling water outside somewhat.
I know the books are an extra offer, but for instance the Rough Guide dates back 10 years ago and much of the practical information is out of date. Would be good to have a slightly more updated version. But excellent idea to have such books/maps.

Comments:I know that American's are used to having a shower curtain. Perhaps it would be wise to install one here. You really could not take a (standing) shower without having water end up all over the bathroom floor..dangerous and messy Wonderful experience. Great location. A larger bed would be ideal. A full size is a little small for 2 adults.

Comments:Need more than one dish towel for kitchen; second key was never provided. Bed in bedroom was a 10+; the pull out was just ok. Shower was too low and difficult not to wet the entire bathroom when using. Great experience overall.

Comments:This is a lovely apartment in a safe, convenient neighborhood. This is the quiestest place I've ever stayed in any big city. It snowed while we were staying there and the big windows looking out into the courtyard made for a magical sight. High praise for the staff of VIP. The first apartment I rented became unavailable due to unexpected maintainance problems just one week before my arrival. Not only did the VIP staff work with me to find another apartment to meet my needs/wants, they negotiated on my behalf to secure me an upgraded apartment at the same price. I was very impressed! They were familiar with the apartments, so they were able to give me specific advice and guidance as I was making choices and communicated regularly with me throughout my transaction. I have already recommended VIP to friends and would not hesitate to use VIP again.

Comments:The apartment is total Ikea. One of the drawers in the bedroom closet is going, the cover for the central cupboard in the kitchen will not stay open and the light over the sink did
not work.
The bathroom is great and so is the location.

Comments:Overall it was a great apt. and experience. However, it could have been a little cleaner, especially the floors as there was quite a bit of hair (not ours) in both the bath and wc area. The bed was good except for the pillows. The only reason we wouldn't use this apt. again would be that we would want to experience a different area of the city. We found out about VIP from Fodor's Paris 2010.
