Comments:We could have used hotter water. My wife needs to take baths and we needed to pour boiled water into the tub to get hotter water. For most people, the water is hot enough. We appreciate it very much that an entry package of goods was provided. In the past, we dreaded shopping for a bundle of essentials that we may use slightly.. We were confused when we arrived and were told the apartment was three flights up. We climbed up with our bags three flights of floors only to find we were one flight above the apartment. We loved the neighborhood and the apartment overall. Sylvane is a gem. We would rent the apartment again.

Comments:We were very pleased about staying in this apt. I believe this was our 4th stay here and we have booked our return for November. It is comfortable, spacious, conveniently located and very artistically decorated. We feel at home here!

Comments:Two rather minor items of note: 1. Only one of the keys that operate the lock to the building door worked easily. The others required an excessive amount of fiddling about. The net result is that there was only one set of reliable door keys for the apartment and the front door. It would be nice to get a new key so that both sets worked well. This is just a standard key, not one of the intricate apartment door style keys. 2. It would be nice to have all the lights in the overhead fixture in the kitchen working. There appeared to only be one bulb working. We would have changed this ourselves, but we could not find a step ladder.
Neither of these items seem to rise to the level of having them addressed while we were there, but it would be nice if they could be worked into the normal maintenance process.
All in all it was a great apartment. Now that all long term favorite Rue Vavin apartment is off the rental list, this apartment is on the top of our list for future rental. We appreciated the attention the owner paid to the details of the apartment.

Comments: We would definitely enjoy another stay in this spacious and homey apartment. It was very quiet which we appreciated as we needed the windows open due to the warm weather. It was a great location with the 91 bus just outside and the Vavin Metro

Comments:This is the fourth apartment that I have rented through VIP; far and away my favorite! I felt as if I were staying in someone's home rather than a rental unit. A lovely, quiet, light, cheerful apartment. Although technically in 14th arr, it is right across Blvd Montparnasse from 6th arr. Bakery 2 doors down; Franprix market just around the corner and down a block for groceries and household items.. No. 91 bus stops in front, and only about a 5 minute walk to Vavin metro (line 4) and bus (line 82) stops. Many restaurants nearby and very close to Jardin du Luxembourg. The two flights of stairs were not a problem, although I was most grateful for Frederik's assistance with my bag!
I loved this apartment and had only two concerns:
- There was no telephone in the apartment, even though my rental information indicated that there was and even provided the apartment phone number. I emailed the owner. She responded that everyone has a cell phone these days, and some tenants had run up excessive charges in the past; therefore, she had removed the phone from the apartment. The absence of a phone was a problem because I could only communicate with my traveling companions via email, since calls and texts would incur high international data usage charges. Additionally, the transport company had no way to contact me the morning of departure, for calling my US cell phone would result in charges for them.
- The heat was on a timer, and went off around 10:00 o'clock at night. Although it came back on in the morning, it really took until afternoon for the place to warm up. There were strict instructions not to touch the thermostat, and at least three nights the outside temperature dropped to freezing, so the apartment was a bit chilly: 18 - 19 degrees celsius. Luckily, I had sweats to put on in the evening and extra blankets were available.

Comments:wow, what an apartment. i think its better than the pictures. i have rented 10-12 apartments over the years(some i am still trying to forget) and this one is by far the best i have stayed in. the description is exactly right with the exception of what floor it is on. when i read the description i was hesitant because of it being on the 3rd floor. well its not on the 3rd floor its on the 2nd floor USA and it is a french circular staircase so i hardly knew i was walking up 2 floors. as far as the bottle of wine missing, what we found was orange juice. it was nice to come back after a day of touring and have a refreshing glass of juice. i hope this apartment is available the next time i go to paris.
oh by the way if you are in paris on a sunday there is an art market on rue edgar quinet which is about blocks away.

Comments:Is this a new property? There was no House Book to find or leave suggestions. The owner did provide some written guidance to locating stores, bakeries, local transportation, etc. The welcome bottle of wine was also missing, a minor oversight. Aside from this, an excellent one-bedroom apt. Close to the Luxembourg Palace and the Latin Quarter (a fifteen/twenty minute walk) and three Metro stations, with a bus stop in front. Airport buses at the nearby Montparnasse station and RER train one block away. Bakery next door, and several traiteurs (prepared foods) and grocery stores within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Location on a back courtyard meant little or no traffic noise. Well-furnished, with a large library of French and English language books, two TVs, dish and clothes washers. Americans would find the tub/shower a bit cramped, and the kitchen is small.
I've lived in Paris as a student, returned frequently and rented five or six Vacation In Paris apartments. I would rate this as one of the two best of these, and by far the best furnished. The Boulevard Montparnasse may seem a little out of the way for
