Comments:Our family of four adults loved our stay in this apartment. It was clean and comfortable and in a fantastic location. Close to cafes, boulangeries, supermarkets, and the pedestrian street rue Cler. The Eiffel Tower can be seen from the street! It felt a safe neighbourhood and not too touristy. The apartment is a good size for Paris, with a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the main room. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely use this apartment again.

Comments:As a French native, I frequently travel back to France and Paris. I found unit # 8 to be a great location, with easy access to public transportation and many museums, lots of local restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores nearby.
I especially enjoyed the large bedroom & bathroom (by Parisian standards)
The key process needs to be reevaluated. I received the key to the apartment several weeks in advance but, by my own fault, failed to include it in my luggage. I therefore needed to have it shipped express to an address in France before my scheduled stay, at a cost of $220. The process also involves shipping the key back and forth with the NJ office. Could we use a 1-time electronic lock for check-in and check-out instead?
I also appreciated having a house key in the apartment. Please note the prior occupant left their key behind and I never received any instructions on taking it back to the US, so I left it there.

Comments:There are a couple of things that need to be addressed:
a) Lightbulb out in the bathroom
b) Lightbulb out in living near the toilet
c) Shower doesn't drain well
d) There is a mutli-plug outlet behind the coffee maker. One of the outlets appeared to be broken. Nothing could be plugged into it.
The apartment could use much more lighting. It's very dark at night. Suggestions include lighting over the table and additional/brighter lighting in the bedroom.
We love the location of this apartment. It is the second time we have stayed here.

Comments:We recommend you to everyone we meet and know. The only comment I have is the clocks.. stove clock not set. The wall clock needs a battery and be set. Usually umbrellas are there. we left the ones we bought; it's a nice touch. if you maintain it, get credit for it in your amenities. Actually list the hair dryer, ironing board, makeup removers, etc. people appreciate not packing that. I love the towel warmer but never found instructions. can they be on the back of the bathroom door and in the book? Quite a luxury.
Thanks again for this great space. The construction people were quiet, on the roof. The only part we saw was the floor covering on the steps to protect the carpet.
We love music and there are many local concerts that are free. if you have an expert to do a page on local music, that would be fun. The AMerican Church in PAris is most every Sunday night free.. classical and more. The Gospel group is all over town,we keep missing it and If i had known, i could have saved the date, etc..The episcopal church had two free concerts ( avenue George?) and I missed those too.
A link on local music if you have someone who can do this easily. St Chapelle is not the only concert. St Eustache organ, etc.

Comments:the building is an old building so one could not possibly expect modern features. It was immaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had trouble with the coffee pot and it was immediately replaced. The location was perfection. My husband walked downstairs to get us croissants every morning and was back within 5 minutes. Walking distance to the river, Rue de Cler market was a five minute walk. Grocery stores, pharmacies, and laundromat were within minutes. Can?t wait to go back!

Comments:My husband and I were very comfortable in this apartment. The layout of the place worked very well, and we appreciated the size of the shower, as compared with many tiny showers we have had in other European accommodations. The building and apartment felt very secure and we had no problems whatsoever. Very good value for the cost. We were lucky to be there for a brief spell in August that did not have the very high temperatures that occurred before and after. If it had been hotter during our visit, the lack of air conditioning would have been difficult to sleep through.

Would try for a building with elevator next time. On our morning of departure we got locked out of apartment and had taxi waiting outside for us with some of our belongings still in apartment. A tenant in building called Tanya for us. She arrived quickly and let us back into apt. to collect our things, and as taxi driver waited for us, we arrived at CDG with time to spare for our flight home. Tania deserves our gratitude for her prompt attention to this stupid mistake of ours. Thank you, Tania.

Tania was great walking us through the apartment and all aspects of it's use. The wine was terrific, the location was fabulous. The apartment has some charm, and the furniture is dated but was well worth the price, so no complaints as much as just an observation. There were one or two minor issues with the apartment that Tania dealt with quite well. I would highly recommend your company to others and this apartment in particular due to location and value. One night a neighbor had a loud party, but that was it. Other wise very quiet entire time. Location near great restaurants, and
grocery stores, also laundromat. We loved our visit there and the very professional way everyone involved made our stay great. We could walk almost everywhere with ease. Eiffel tower very close as in the Seine.
They have TONS of older towels and linens in the unit. We brought extra towels, but didn't need them. the manager found storage bins for under the bed to store the towels and linens, but they still overflowed in the 2nd dresser.

HOWEVER, the rental cost is so minimal in regard to being in....in my opinion....the most wonderful street in all of Paris....rue Saint Dominique. If you want to really experience a fabulous neighborhood with great family-run restaurants, wonderful shops, and a pure sense of why Paris is just so special...then this is the best location for you. Walk to dinner every night, shop on rue Cler and bring back all types of goodies for a great dinner at the apartment, a short walk to the Eiffel Tower to watch the lights at night....You would have to stay here for a month to experience all the great little places to sit outside and people-watch with your carafe of wine and container of pommes frites. We would stay here again on our next trip to this amazing city.

Comments:The property manager was so helpful -- the shower was draining slow and she came over to fix it. Really appreciated that, as well as her call to caution about the Yellow Vest protests in our area. It would be helpful if the kitchen had a vegetable peeler and a dish/pan that could go in the oven.
We had a problem with Global Transfers on the way in -- we waited around at baggage claim for 25 minutes but never saw them, so we took a taxi. We contacted them and they said their driver was there and didn't see us. I'm not sure how he didn't see our family of four, but in the end I guess these things can happen and it's not a big deal. The pickup on our return worked out great. Just wanted you to know.

Comments:The apt. offers a very convenient location, close to the Eiffel, Rue Clare, bakeries (one across the street) and groceries. The extra bedroom offers a place to retreat when suffering from jet lag. We never felt cramped. The area felt very safe both day and night. August is a vacation month for the Parisians which provides a mixed blessing: fewer crowds in general but also some restaurants were closed but there were otherwise some fine restaurants within walking distance. The metro was about four blocks away but never a problem for us (mid-sixties Americans). Also the manager was easily contacted and very helpful. It was the perfect venue for visiting Paris and given the general prices,, a real bargain.

Comments:Location on Rue St. Dominique was GREAT!!!! The bakery across the street was wonderful and Rue Cler market/shops and restaurants lovely. Loved being close to the Eiffel Tower!! We walked there each evening to watch the light show. Building felt secure and safe. Very quiet, no street noise.
Didn't find a set of sheets for the sofa bed (there was a blanket). Some of the towels should be replaced ( a little worn). Might be good also to let tenants know where the closest laundry facility is. Found one around the corner from the nearby pub.
Liked the house book for recommendations and the Guest log was helpful along with the tour books. The number given in the house book for the English speaking cab company was GREAT!! We booked a cab the day before departure with them and had great service to Charles DeGaulle the next day. The driver showed up on time in a really nice SUV style cab and took us around the Arc de Triompe on our way to the airport!!!! Would highly recommend others doing the same. Cost was not bad at all for the 3 of us and our bags.

My kids found the single bed and trundle bed were comfortable. We really enjoyed this area of Paris and walked everywhere we went. We could find everything we needed within a couple of blocks. I even got my hair cut the last evening. The only noise we noticed, aside from just the usual neighbours voices that would be expected, was from the garbage cans at the back outside the kitchen. Comments:We enjoyed this Paris Apartment for our 4 night stay. The directions to the apartment from CDG were accurate. We liked the location because it was close to shops, restaurants, laundry and the Eiffel Tower. The size was perfect from our family of 3. The separate WC (toilet) was great so, we could all get showers without having to wait for others to use the toilet. The windows were great for cross breeze to cool off the apartment. The lighting was nice too. The bed's were ok, but no bed is better than ours at home. The counter top around the sink in the Shower room lets water drip to the floor and it is easy to get water on the counter top. I tried to keep the floor dry. The towels could be updated, they seemed old. The WIFI worked great and never had any problems with it. We were warned about construction in the building but there was none, so that was great. However the apartment below us had two ALL Night parties during our stay. It woke me up the first night and kept me up all night the second night. Didn't know if it was a holiday rental or not, so didn't really know what to do about it since the second night was the last night of our stay. I don't think it would keep me from staying here again, but it is nice to know about neighbors noise. Over all it was a great apartment for us and we loved the neighborhood. I can't wait to come back to this apartment again. The staff in NJ were so easy to work with and answered all our questions before we left.

Comments:The apartment building was under renovation when we visited, and while there wasn't any noise, it was disappointing to not be able to open any windows as they were covered by plastic. But it was a minor inconvenience as we were touring Paris the majority of the day. The only problem I had with the rental was that I could not get the key before I left on my vacation. That made it extremely stressful to try to coordinate with the property owner, as we were driving from the Normandy region to Paris, and had a hard time knowing when we would arrive in Paris. I would only do this again if the apartment was the first place we went on our trip, and could coordinate with a plane arrival time.

The building was quiet and the neighbours that we encountered were very friendly. The kitchen was equipped nicely, and the bathroom was great. Our only complaint was the construction being done to the building, which wasn't too bad as we were sight seeing most of the time. The furniture was a little dated and could be refreshed a little but all in all this was a great place to stay and your company was really great to book through. The location was fantastic. We had so many restaurant choices in the neighborhood, and my 9-year-old son "made" us walk the few blocks over to the Eiffel Tower every night after dinner. It would have been useful for instructions on where to find the linens. We didn't realize that there were some stored in containers under the bed until when we were checking out.

Comments:The apartment is small by North American standards but that is fine, you know that going to Paris. The location is phenomenal we walked everywhere. Everything was functional - water pressure was fine, everything was clean, it wasn't air conditioned but we knew that.
The only thing I would mention is that the front windows weren't usable because of construction and the windows look over the garbage area. It didn't bother us because we used the place to sleep and eat breakfast and plan our day but don't go to it expecting a romantic view in back. This was really easy. I have been to Paris many times and stayed in a hotel for most of them. Especially if you are traveling any more than 2 adults this is absolutely the way to go in terms of cost comfort and value.

Comments:We loved the location of the unit. The area around it was wonderful and perfect for our family vacation. It was extremely quiet and did not feel like a "tourist" district.
We were disappointed that almost all of the dishes and utensils in the kitchen were dirty. They had been put back dirty, so we had to wash everything before using it. The pots and pans are so warped and scratched that they are almost unusable. The cutting board still had crumbs on it. The kitchen looked outdated, but it was otherwise functional.
Otherwise, the unit was clean and in good condition. The beds were not very comfortable, but that was okay. When I stripped the sheets before leaving, I noticed that the pillows were very stained.
Overall, though, we were happy to stay there, and it served us well. We overlooked these issues since the location was so nice, and the unit had some "shabby chic" charm that made us feel like we were having an authentic Parisian experience. The book of information about everything in the unit was very helpful. Power went off at one point, and we were able to find info to get it back on by going to the book. The book, however, is a mess. Things are not organized, and there is writing from guests scribbled all over the pages (especially the wi-fi page). It would be easier to read with a clean copy.
Everyone I talked to in New Jersey was extremely helpful and kind. I appreciate the good service we received. We really liked being able to pay in U.S. dollars -- it saved us a lot in conversion fees. And it was nice to have a point of contact in the U.S. that spoke English.

Comments:The location was great, the only thing I can recommend is you have extra towels, toilet paper and they had zero paper towel, also they need a new bottle opener The location was great! 15minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and 5minutes to the metro, awesome street quite and away from the crazy but still in the middle of everything! I would definitely stay at the same location!

Comments:*Excellent* location, quiet, especially when windows were closed. (Could hear a dog and baby sometimes when bedroom window was open, but not a big deal.) Tub drained very slowly and toilet continued to run sometimes, but again, not a big deal.

Comments:Loved the neighborhood and the convenient shopping. Surprised at some of the prices for food on Rue Cler, but the Boulangerie across the street was great, and the small grocery store on St. Dominique worked best for us. My husband is a great chef. THANK YOU FOR THE WINE! Toilet leaked so we heard noise from it approximately every 5 minutes. OK if all doors were closed when sleeping. Construction noise from outside, and neighbors arguments from building next door (outside bedroom) were loud until they went inside or closed all doors and windows.

Comments:Some confusion on arrival.
Directions were not clear about crossing courtyard before going up stairs.
The apartment door had no identifying marks, and the apt door key, which is double-sided, only worked in one orientation. First try it would not work. After help from a construction worker (think he called apt manager) we tried again and, by luck, got the key in the working direction.
Several door handles are held in place with bent nails or paper clips.
Very comfortable, quiet and super location.
You might also advise renters there is an SNCF Railway office ("boutique") just a block west - very handy for tickets and info.

Comments:We have stayed at this property before and really loved the location, but did not remember a European matrimonial bed, we thought it was more like an American Queen. That being said, our stay was a bit disturbed by the renovation going on across the hall, HOWEVER, we were compensated for that financially and would stay there again. A larger bed would really make sense. I wound up sleeping in the living room (and btw we are really not XXL people).

Comments:We enjoyed the apartment and the location very much. Some of the kitchen untensils are a bit worn (ie the cutting boards) but it was well equiped.
It might be useful to inform future visitors about the light switches in the corridors (the ones with the green light) which you can turn on to help navigate the corridors, they turn off after a few minutes so you don't need to worry about turning them off after.

Comments:We appreciated all the kitchen appliances - Aspecially the filter coffee machine! Thank you for leaving filters in the house - An unnecessary expense if one is only staying for a few days ( and we only realised that we need filters when we wanted to make coffee the first time, so it saved us a trip down to the supermarket..)
We were wondering about the food left in the fridge though... Was it left there by a previous occupant?
Apartment was tidy and clean on arrival, and we really appreciated the wine after travellng that long. Getting into the apartment and finding our keys were very easy.
The vicinity is absolutely AMAZING!!
We would definitely rent it again, and we have already Told all our friends and family.

Comments:The bathroom drains were plugged causing the bathtub to fill with water then drain very slowly whenever we used the shower or the bathroom sink.
There was a lot of partying going on in other apartments on some nights which lasted long into the night which was especially loud because it was warm out and we had to sleep with the windows open. Although it really didn't bother us too much it might be a concern for your other guests.
We really enjoyed using your service and found your staff to be friendly and helpful. Being able to pay in dollars on our credit card was a big plus. We also liked having the apartment keys mailed to us which elliminated having to meet someone at the apartment when we arrived. We would definitely use your service again.

Comments:Overall a homey and comfortable apartment, set in very quiet surroundings, and situated in an exceptionally good location.
Rue St Dominique is a real Parisian neighbourhood, with a wide range of shops and services close at hand. Several modes of transport are nearby, and a number of sights are within walking-distance.
Overall, good value-for-money, but the layout and size make it more suitable for a family with 2 children or a couple, rather than 4 adults. Please do not include a surname in publishing a review. In identifying for references you might identify me as Noel, Dublin, Ireland.

Comments:It was delightful to have a place to stretch our legs and sip wine while planning our next Paris adventure. The towel rack in the bathroom has a "droopy" rung. It worked just fine while we were there but I'm afraid it won't last too much longer. Bathroom sink is developing a drip. We thought you'd like to know those things but they had no effect on our having a very nice stay. If it weren't for reality getting in the way, we'd still be in France.

Comments:There was limited / no storage in the bathroom - not a big deal, but would have been nice.
Regarding info given prior to going - the information on entry into the building / apartment had lots of detail (which was very helpful). Very specific instructions on how to open the first door, where to go next, etc. When we got to what we thought was the apartment door, there was supposed to be a number 20 on it. We could not find the number 20 and (because there was so much great detail on the other instructions), we weren't sure it was the right door. Finally we tried the key and it worked. Again, no big issue, but I would recommend that you update your instructions. Also, the reference to the English channel numbers did not seem to coincide with what they actually were, so if you could update those it might help future clients. Discussion (verbal or e-mail) with your staff was always cordial and professional.
We had a great time in Paris and would love to go back again.
We have already recommended VIP to a few friends.
Thanks

Comments:Great location! The apartment is very roomy. All four of us were very comfortable. The bathtub is not plugged but somehow takes a long time to drain, which needs attention. The toilet is always running so we kept turning the water off. And the apartment floor is very squeaky. Other than that we had a great time in Paris and we would love to return to this apartment. Comments:Not sure what to expect, we found the apartment itself rather "quaint". The location was excellent for eating and food shopping, as well as access to the Eiffel Tower, boat cruises and Napoleon's tomb. It provided a nice taste of a Parisien neighbourhood.
However, there is NO number on the apartment door to identify it. The single teflon frypan in the kitchen should be replaced. The cushions on the day bed should be replaced and there could have been more bedding and towels for 3 people. Otherwise we were quite satisfied with the accommodations. We appreciated your prompt service for booking, delivery of the key and thoughtfull information on the area. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Thank you very much.

Comments:The only reason we would not use the apartment again is that with two tall sons and a tall husband, it was a little squishy !!! We were also constantly worried about the noise of the squeaky, creaky floorboards for the apartment below and given the plethora of warning notes about making noise, that did put us on edge. My husband thought a few strategic nails into the joists would in fact solve a lot of the floorboard noise and allow guests to relax.

Comments:The location was great, and size was fine, but the futon was uncomfortable as a couch and the kitchen was sorely lacking in cookware, I couldn't even heat up croissants in the oven, no bakeware! Also, it would have been nice to have some amenities, and more toilet tissue, i.e. little shampoos etc. A lot of talking in the courtyard which carried up right to the apartment, and then there was a crying baby at 11pm every night. Despite all this we still had a great time and would recommend the apartment with some stipulations. Vacations in Paris was great to work with--so no complaint there!

Comments:It was a lovely stay! We loved the apartment and the location, it was just right for the two of us. A broom to sweep up the crumbs from all those delicious baguettes would have been helpful, but I know--who wants to do housework on vacation!
We did have a bit of difficulty finding the apartment once we were IN the building! The directions could have been clearer, and there was no number/sign by the door, as mentioned in the directions--so it was a bit confusing. A nice young man (a tenant) helped us find the correct apartment!

Comments:I understand the apartment had charming character, but the building was quite rundown. The location was excellent, just the condition of the building was lacking. After dark, no hallway lights came on and being that the apartment was back into a second building, it was very dark to find the apartment.
The linens on the beds were ok, but the more towels (for multiple night stays) would have been appreciated. My daughter slept on the pull out trundle bed and got several bites, might want to clean that mattress. Pillows on the couch need to be cleaned.
The kitchen was very small, and lacked simple extras, like salt and pepper, paper towels and more than one dish towel would have been nice. Also some cloth placemats/napkins for setting the table would have been nice.
The bathtub didn't drain very well and so when you took a shower there was standing water in the tub.
The Vacation in Paris staff was helpful and thorough, I would probably do business with the company again, just not at this apartment.

Comments:The Apartment is located in a great area for touring the city of Paris and most of it's famous sites and museums. It's quiet and there are some wonderful cafes, small shops and restaurants in the area. The apartment itself was comfortable and clean with plenty of space for the two of us. It was nice, on a few of the warmer days, to be able to open the windows in the bedroom and the windows in the kitchen. It would cool down the apartment very nicely. The wood floor in the apartment looks like its the original floor and most definately needs to be replaced sometime soon. It is very squeaky and noisy when you walk on it and many of the floor boards are broken. I felt sorry for whomever lives directly below because they must hear it when you're walking around the apartment. The drain in the bath tub is not working very well and water builds up in the tub when you shower. It takes 5 minutes or so for the tub to drain out once your done showering. Other than those two items that need to be addressed, we were very pleased with the apartment.

Comments:Noticed noise from neighboring apt. This is our 2nd time in this apt and thoroughly enjoyed it. VIP is a great company. Good people and communication is excellent. Only thing we would like to see is online availability to save having to go back and forth with office. Also exactly 1 day after we booked, apt went under "special" 10/20% off but because it only applied to "new" bookings we didn't pursue. Surprised that booking agent didn't know of discount coming 24 hours later.
